This was an exceptional place to stay. The location is phenomenal, plenty of access to many great restaurants and the bus terminal is not far away. The garden was beautiful and I spent a surprising amount of time there. The staff at De Requka is filled with wonderful people and they were very helpful during my stay. My bag broke at one point and Janine was able to mend it for me! And Juliana cooked a delicious breakfast each morning and gave me advice on what to see and do in the area. Doña Alba also had many great recommendations for activities. I stayed for 12 days and by the end it really felt more like a home than a hostel. I met so many interesting people and really enjoyed the bright joyful atmosphere. I'll definitely stay again in the future. Thank you to everyone at De Requka for making my stay so great.

A perfect place to stay in Pereira, very close to shopping centers, the San José church, and with easy access to public transportation. The service was excellent; they gave us tourist recommendations, and everyone who works at the hostel was very friendly. I would definitely return.

I wish I could give a better rating, and I’ll follow with all the positive. We booked on Hotels.com (Expedia) a room a week prior, but when we checked in they had no idea about it. Eventually they found back the email, but our room was unavailable. Luckily the hostel was very empty that night, and they offered to make a dorm private for us, which we accepted. But managing the booking should be a pretty basic task for an accommodation, and I’m not the first to comment about this problem here. Even after the fact, they didn’t proceed to remove any rooms from Expedia, like they just don’t care. They also had no idea if I paid or not, this goes to shows how disorganized this checkin process was.
On the positive side, the place is pretty nice with a lot of common area and a beautiful garden. The woman working there in the evening was also amazing and took a lot of time talking with us about fruits in Colombia. We had to leave too early for the breakfast, but they left us some bread and eggs we could cook ourselves. Finally, the location is great : the street is quiet, and there are a lot of restaurants around. It feels pretty safe area, and it’s about 20 minutes walk to the bus termjnal (even though the walk close to the terminal isn’t great, try to take the pedestrian bridge if you can find it). Price was super affordable.
My conclusion is that I still recommend this place, but you’ll better called them directly.

We rented the entire hostel for a group of 16 people. The hosts were wonderful and even arranged breakfast for us since we were leaving very early.
If you ask me if I would return? Yes, I would definitely stay at the same hostel again when I have to return to Pereira to sleep.

Amazing place! The receptionist stayed until 10:30 to make sure I got into the hostel okay. And when I arrived late at night she gave me the warmest, kindest welcome. Exactly what I needed as a solo female traveller. If I come back it will be my first choice to stay here again. The rooms are affordable and clean, and breakfast was included with my stay. Definitely book here!!

We stayed here for a night on our way to Salento. It was a great place to take a break on the way. Very clean, comfy and great hosts. We spent the evening having a beer or two with Colton (who works there) and playing in the very calm lovely garden. We really enjoyed our stay

By far this hostel was one of the best ones I’ve stayed in Colombia.
The prime location (bars, restaurants, malls, viewpoints, etc) was a plus
The team are super kind and friendly, Juliana, Liz & volunteer dude were super chill, funny and accommodating.
The hostel is pretty clean, it’s quiet, and had a great breakfasts too.
It’s only one hour away from Salento, and Filandia and from hostel to the main bus station is only 10mins walk.
Highly recommended if you are in pereira and want to have a great stay!

When I arrived, the hostal informed me there had been an overbooking, to their credit they arranged for me to have a dorm to myself in place of my double for the night and I appreciated that I wasn’t sent away. Sadly though the hostel is just low budget, you get what you pay for and it was very basic. The staff didn’t give me any info without me asking - breakfast time, door code etc. Breakfast was adequate but again low budget. There are several restaurants walking distance away which is a plus.

was okay for one night but would not stay longer, very lowcost vibes, room smelled like mould and also there could be more light outside at the entrance, didnt feel safe when we arrived at night.

The cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in. Very quiet, the staff are very friendly, and there's plenty of space to relax and work. The location is perfect too; you can walk everywhere. It's perfect if you want a clean, quiet place with lots of space (there aren't many people to socialize with because it's new, but I would definitely go back).

Stayed for 1 night only but absolutely loved this hostel! Everyone was so friendly, the rooms are so clean and well set up and we even had breakfast included. Had the best night sleep here! We went on a day trip and left our bags all day, then when we got back the lady at reception let us shower and gave us a towel too! Thanks so much guys 🤩

Located in a safe area with tons of good restaurants around. Very lively area. The room was clean, all commom areas were always clean. I reached at 8 am while the checkin time is 3, they allowed me to checkin at 8! The staff is super nice, always ready to help. I recommend this hostel!

This hostel is really well located in Pereira. The rooms are clean and the beds are quiet comfortable compared to the rest of the places I've been to in Colombia. There is plenty of space in the lockers under the beds to put your personal belongings.

The staff at this hostel were absolutely amazing! They made us feel like we were at home from the moment we arrived. Not only did they give us great recommendations for tours, but they also helped us with everything we needed, from local tips to directions. Truly a fantastic experience.

Definitely a beautiful hostel at a very affordable price, Tatiana is an incredible person who welcomes you with a smile from the moment you arrive she is 10/10
They offer an incredible patio, location in a super safe area, the beds have light, ventilated and own connections, have curtains for privacy. This place is amazing and very accessible.

Exactly as in the picture, super nice and modern.
Room was very large and well equipped, we actually felt like in a hotel with shared (but super clean) bathroom.
They organised an Uber as we had an early flight, it was on time and cheap.

The hostel is well equipped and well located. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. We were able to arrive without a reservation and leave our luggage there during our 3-day hike. For breakfast we were surprised with two fruit cups. The rooms are equipped with power sockets, lockers and fans at each bed and ours even had a balcony. It's the perfect place for a quick stopover!

We chose it because it was close to the shopping area and restaurants.
The room is comfortable, with good rest. The party music can be heard but quite in the background, it is not decisive at all.
The bathroom was super clean and the hot water was perfect. For breakfast they gave us coffee and fruit with yogurt and very delicious oatmeal.
They were very good, waiting for us until late to check in, because our plane was delayed.
I would have liked to pay by card but the dataphone was not working at that time.
The room we had reserved was not available (private bathroom) but they deducted money from us and it is true that there were not many people and the outside bathrooms were great.

De Requka is a really nice, little hostel/hotel. The interior is designed with a lot of love and is really pretty, so one feels very welcome. The beds are very good and the rooms and facilities are clean and welcoming. It's a very good place to stay, especially considering the price! Als there is a well functioning kitchen that can be used. As a bonus, the owner is an amazingly lovely and friendly woman, that helped us get to the airport when there was a taxi strike.

I stayed at De Requka Hostel at the end of the tourist season and it was friendly, most enjoyable hostel I’ve stayed in. Everyone is super willing to help and have so much to show you in the town. It’s clean and really spacious, and the balcony was such a cute bonus! The communal areas are clean and so lovely to sit out and chat. Everything what you need is very close to town, bars, supermarket less 5-8 minutes. I made some great friends here and would recommend it a million times over!

I recently stayed at this hostel in Pereira beautiful city and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making me feel right at home.
The hostel itself is clean, well-maintained, and provides all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The dorm rooms were spacious and well-lit, with comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. The shared bathrooms were also kept very clean and were always stocked with fresh towels and toiletries.
